I finally dug into my stash of Japanese fabric and started sewing a Spiderweb quilt (top) and a Wonky Log Cabin baby blanket (above). The spiderweb is going slow. A couple of the fabrics are jacquard woven so they add just a hint of texture. The triangles are paper pieced so I don't have to fret about bias edges, but all the seams coming together make the block a little tricky. I think I need to press them open. The Log Cabin blocks are still chained together and need just one more edge. I am really happy with the gingham I added but the white on the bunnies was more of an off-white than the bright white gingham. I solved this by using Kona Cotton Ivory and Kona Cotton White solids around the blocks.
Below is a piece of antique feedsack fabric I purchased on ebay. It's in really good shape. I don't know how I'm ever going to get the nerve to cut it. Kinda like the Japanese fabric. I have had some of it for three years! Don't even get me started on vintage ribbon. Mine may never see the light of day.
